The highly-rigid, built-in tilting rotary table, unique to the Variaxis Series, allows workpieces with complex contours and features to be finished in just a single machine setup. It has tremendous weight capacity and will increase machining accuracy while reducing cycle time. 5-axis, simultaneously controlled machining with Variaxis is ideal for aerospace components as well as prismatic parts in steel and aluminum. 

For greater productivity, the Variaxis is available with a 2-pallet changer system. Or, team it with a Palletech system and the Variaxis becomes its own powerful cell.

High speed machining of extremely long workpieces is made easier with these fixed-table, traveling-column machine models. Table lengths start at 79” and go up to 212”, with CAT-40 or CAT-50 spindle tapers. These machines are perfect for long aerospace parts, conveyor sections, and more. 

The Super Velocity Center (SVC) Series features linear motors on the X-axis, delivering super-fast positioning for the highest productivity.

On-machine programming is based on question-and-answer dialogue between the operator and control – in English. The Mazatrol CNC already contains a database of recommended cutting speeds and feeds, tool management, tool path checking and 3-D solid simulation of the cutting program, making programming intuitive even for less experienced operators. As cutting tool performance is improved, new parameters may be easily incorporated into the tool database and applied across all programs.

Mazatrol is the fusion of CNC with PC to allow networking of a machine, or an entire plant. This offers opportunities to program off-line, schedule and monitor each machine remotely, receive alarms, schedule maintenance, and more.
