Like our customers, we juggle the aspects of price, quality & service every day. A past customer of AW Miller decided to purchase machinery from Haas 5 years ago, specifically the EC-500 based on price.

Over several years, with Bill Miller leading the team efforts, AM Miller shared the facts that the Mazak HCN series machines would produce more part on the floor by the end of the day. The account heard that the rapids are 65% faster than that of Haas—however the persistence and experience of the AW Miller team paid off for the customer in Spring of 2011’ when this firm purchased a HCN-4000!

Just like we hear at the track…don’t bet against a Kentucky Thoroughbred…. Let the competition begin! The same job that took the Haas machine 48 minutes with the same program– took the HCN 32 minutes (33% reduction in cycle time) The HCN’s 18k rpm spindle was no match to Haas’s 12k rpm rates.

Next, AW Miller & the customer optimized the program to Mazak and we reduced the time by an additional 22 minutes (32% additional reduction)

This client clearly understands that they increased profit margin as well as delivery of a mirror like part…and more of them on the floor each & every day!
